(Inter-Mountain) – Diabetes is a serious and costly disease, but research has shown that those who learn to manage their blood glucose (sugar) levels, eat healthy and exercise regularly can lower their risk of complications and lead a healthier and more productive life.

To help manage diabetes, the WVU Extension Service in Barbour and Randolph counties will offer Dining with Diabetes classes for individuals with diabetes and their family members starting in late February.

Dining with Diabetes is a once-a-week class that runs for four weeks with a three-month follow-up class. The classes are free, but space is limited and pre-registration is required.
