Becoming debt free takes dedication
February 25, 2013
(Dominion Post) Getting out of debt requires a commitment to change.
“Becoming and living debt free will take some sacrifices and a rejection of the ‘instant gratification’ mentality that has plagues Americans and led to record consumer debt levels,” said Ron Hatfield, a WVU Extension specialist in family financial management.
Without that commitment, a debt-reduction plan is doomed to failure. “It takes a personal willingness to change a few behaviors to make all the difference int he world,” he said.
